Ocean City firefighters were on the scene Sunday night at the McMahon Insurance Agency building at 901 Simpson Ave. for a report of fire.
The large building provides a major commercial presence entering town on the Ninth Street corridor heading downtown.
In addition to the family-owned McMahon Insurance Agency, the building serves as the corporate office for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Realtors.
One onlooker said smoke was visible, but no flames.
