A car accident backed up traffic on the Route 52 Causeway bridge into Ocean City on Saturday.
Police Department spokesman Lt. Pat Randles said no one was injured in the 1:55 p.m. crash at the intersection of Ninth Street and Bay Avenue, at the foot of the bridge.
Officers directed traffic, which was detoured for at least an hour, while a damaged Chevrolet Corvette involved in the crash was removed from the roadway and the scene was cleared.
The Traffic Safety Unit is in charge of the investigation.
