Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland announced that the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness, in collaboration with the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, Cape May County Office of Emergency Management and Cape May Police Department, will host a Hometown Security Seminar on Sept. 18.
The event will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Cape May Convention Center, located at 714 Beach Ave. in Cape May.
During the seminar, authorities will discuss tools and resources that help strengthen the security and resilience of communities across New Jersey.
Topics to be discussed include suspicious activity reporting, physical protective measures and cyber security resources for small businesses.
The seminar is designed to give the community, local businesses and community leaders the opportunity to meet and have open discussions with law enforcement offices and agencies about their hometown security concerns. The seminar is free, and anyone may attend.
