The Board of Realtors clothing drive helps those in need each year.

The Ocean City Board of Realtors will hold its fall community service project, a drive to collect cold weather clothing and other items.

Donations will be collected now through Nov. 23 and will be used to give the gift of warmth for winter to those in need in Ocean City.

The Warmth for the Winter Drive will collect gently used or new items. Needed most are clothes and coats for men, hats, scarves, gloves and socks. Also hats, gloves, coats and scarves for children. Blankets, sheets and comforters are needed as well.

Clean out your closets and help others in the process. The Ocean City Ecumenical Clothes Closet would appreciate the donations.

“It’s time to switch over your wardrobe from summer to winter. We encourage our fellow realtors, friends and neighbors to donate items that are gently used or new that will provide warmth for the winter to families in need,” said Gloria Votta, chair of the Community Services Committee for the OCBOR.

Donations can be dropped off at the Ocean City Board of Realtors office at 405 22nd Street. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Donations should be placed inside a plastic bag. Plastic bags will be provided as needed.
