DATE: Monday, May 11

PROGRESS: Work on the south end beach replenishment project has reached St. David’s Place, just south of 47th Street. Beaches are closed at 46th Street, 47th Street and St. David’s. It looks like work is making up for time lost during dredge repairs last week.

WHAT’S NEXT: The project will proceed to 49th Street (anticipated to be complete by mid-May), 55th to 49th (mid-May to mid-June), 55th to 59th (mid-June to mid-July). The southern blocks will require more work to rebuild and repair dunes, so those time frames are longer.
