A youth basketball shooting contest on Sunday offers trophies and prizes and a chance to help a good charity.

Devon Vanderslice, an Ocean City High School graduate who will represent her hometown in the Miss New Jersey Pageant as Miss Eastern Shore 2014, is kicking off Donate Life Month with an event to raise awareness about organ donation.

Her cousin, Coby Lefkowitz, will receive a new kidney donated by his mother on April 17.
