Rick Glasheen to Represent HERO Campaign

The New England Patriots honored longtime fan and HERO Campaign supporter Rick Glasheen of Harwich, Mass. as their Designated Driver of the Season in a ceremony at Gillette Stadium before the divisional playoff game against the Texans on Saturday, January 14th. Glasheen was given a personalized game ball, and will be in attendance at Super Bowl LI in Houston, TX this weekend, representing the Patriots, the HERO Campaign and TEAM Coalition.

Shore Medical Center Helps Ease Headache Pain with “Infusion Therapy”

“Take two aspirin and call me in the morning” was the advice doctors gave their patients years ago if they had a headache or some other ailment. Obviously, health care is far more sophisticated these days, but despite all the advances of modern medicine, it has not quite been able to conquer migraine headaches. “These patients suffer. They can’t go to work. They can’t do things at home, like taking care of the children,” Dr. Joshua Daniel, a neurologist with Shore Physicians Group in Somers Point, explained of debilitating headache pain. However, Daniel and Shore Medical Center are giving migraine sufferers some dramatic pain relief with a new treatment option called "infusion therapy."

With Super Bowl LI fast approaching, Congressmen Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02) and Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) have reintroduced legislation to legalize sports-betting. The Congressmen called for action on their bills, arguing that legalized sports-betting will benefit New Jersey’s economy and crack down on criminal enterprises which operate off-the-book betting in the shadows. The American Gaming Association estimates that Americans will stake an estimated $4.7 billion on Sunday's game between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons. The AGA estimates that 97 percent of the money wagered on the Super Bowl in the U.S. will be done so illegally...

The Spelling Bee is sponsored by the Ocean City Colony Club. The Colony Club is a women’s club committed to helping the community. The Colony Club is part of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs, which in turn is part of the National General Federation of Women’s Clubs, established in Washington D.C.
