Head of the Bay Regatta

Ocean City High School Boy’s Fall Crew Team enjoyed the perfect fall weather conditions today as they raced Mainland High School Boy’s Crew in this morning’s “Head of the Bay” Regatta. The regatta is held in Ocean City’s back bays near the 34th Street Bridge. Unlike the 1500 meter sprint races the rowers normally compete in, the Head of the Bay Regatta is a whopping three miles long. That’s more than three times the normal racing distance!

This event is to raise money for the Ocean City & South Jersey people that now live in Rincon, Puerto Rico and were devestated by Hurricane Maria.
