Congratulations to the Ocean City High School Class of 2019. Following is the list of graduates.

Bayside Family Day, Vinny Curry Camp Set for Saturday

The beach and Boardwalk are highlights of every Ocean City vacation, but a new event on Saturday will showcase the resort’s other “B:” the bay. The inaugural Bayside Family Day is planned for 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22 at the bayfront park at Second Street and Bay Avenue. The event will feature live music, food vendors, entertainment, educational demonstrations and more. Details follow on other entertainment and special events coming up in June.

Special Weather Statement: Flash Flood Watch

The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch in effect for Ocean City through 6 a.m. Tuesday. The latest forecast calls for as much as 3 inches of rain starting Monday night into Tuesday morning in some localized areas, according the NWS.

There She Is: Miss N.J. 2019 Jade Glab

Jade Glab of Belmar was crowned Miss New Jersey 2019 Saturday night at the competition’s new home at Resorts Superstar Theater in Atlantic City. First runner-up was Alyssa Sullivan, 23, of Cape May Courthouse, who competed as Miss Atlantic Shores. Miss Central Jersey Kyra Seeley was second runner-up and Miss Eastern Shores Natalie Ragazzo of Ocean City finished as third runner-up. Miss South Shore Jessica Indio of Hammonton came in fourth.

Fire Damages Ocean City Duplex

An early morning fire Saturday left two duplex units on Central Avenue uninhabitable, authorities said. The Ocean City Fire Department responded to a call reporting a structure fire on the 4000 block of Central Avenue at 5:20 a.m. There were no injuries reported to any occupants or firefighters, according to a press release.

“Toy Story 4” Characters Visit O.C. Boardwalk

It was not your average Friday evening on the Boardwalk. The “Toy Story 4” RV made its splashy debut in front of the Ocean City Music Pier amid an enthusiastic reception from big crowds. The lines stretched along the Boardwalk filled with children accompanied by their parents awaiting their chance to see what the movie-themed RV had to offer. There were carnival games, multiple spots for photo opportunities and trivia. Everything featured the characters from “Toy Story 4,” including Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and Forky.

Blackjacks, Soul Face Off in Philly Sunday

The Atlantic City Blackjacks (3-4) travel to Philadelphia to play the Soul (3-4) on Sunday, June 16, at the Wells Fargo Center. Kickoff is 4 p.m. Both teams will be fighting for a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Boat Owners Invited to Enter Night in Venice

The 65th annual Night in Venice is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 13, and boats are still invited to participate in the parade. It’s a chance to be part of the highlight of the summer season in Ocean City — with thousands of spectators lining the bayfront and thousands more attending private parties at homes along the route from the Ocean City-Longport Bridge to Tennessee Avenue. The first 75 boats to register will receive an “Ocean City Swag Bag” filled with goodies. Boat owners also get a complimentary photo of their boat in the parade and a commemorative mug.

Tabernacle Welcomes Featured Speaker Steve Douglass on June 16

Steve Douglass, president of Campus Crusade for Christ International, will speak Sunday, June 16, at the Ocean City Tabernacle. Campus Crusade’s historic focus has been evangelism at colleges (now present at over 7,000 campuses), although the ministry also includes family life marriage conferences, Global Aid Network and Global Church Movements and beach evangelism and inner city ministry.
