“Mamma Mia!” Comes to Ocean City

In collaboration with Ocean City and the Ocean City Pops, the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) presents its production of “Mamma Mia!” as part of its 12t​h​ season. There will be four performances, July 9, 10, and 12 at 7:30 p.m., and July 11 at 2 p.m., at the Bill and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center.

Mayor Jay Gillian is thanking everyone who helped in Ocean City's selection as New Jersey's "Favorite Beach." Representatives of the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium announced the winners of their annual beach contest in a ceremony Friday at the Music Pier. In his weekly message posted on the city's website, the mayor also pays tribute to local insurance company owner and community leader Bill McMahon, who passed away this week.

Ocean City Launches “Ocean City Vacation” Video Contest

Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Ocean City Tourism Development Commission, has launched the “Ocean City Vacation” video contest. Contestants are encouraged to submit short, family-oriented videos detailing what makes Ocean City "America’s Greatest Family Resort.” Details on submitting videos follow.

Three O.C. Events Planned in July for Amyloidosis Awareness

The Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation will hold a trio of fundraising events at some of the hottest spots in Ocean City on July 19 and July 21. They include a surf fest, a family outing at OC Waterpark and a skateboarding event. Details follow.

Blackjacks Looking for Win in Road Game

The Atlantic City Blackjacks finally finish their four-game road trip this weekend in Washington and are looking to bring back an important victory. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Saturday at Capital One Arena. With three games remaining and the final playoff seed being occupied by another team, the Blackjacks (3-6) need to win the last three games of their season if they want a decent shot to make the playoffs.

O.C. Farmers Market Delivers on Delicious

The sun was out and shining Wednesday for the first Ocean City Farmers and Crafters Market of the 2019 summer season. Located on the grounds of the Ocean City Tabernacle at Sixth Street and Asbury Avenue, the market offers a variety of fresh produce, artwork, crafts, treats and more. O.C. Intermediate School Creates Food Donation Boxes

For four weeks, the Ocean City Intermediate School has been working on a project to make food donation boxes. The boxes serve as a drop-off spot for renters who still have leftover non-perishable foods when they are finishing up their vacation, according to a press release. The boxes have been placed outside the school at 1801 Bay Avenue.
