North End Neighborhood Drainage Project Update

Under the Streetlamp, one of the most popular groups to perform Doo Wop, early Rock 'n' Roll and Motown, will appear with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra at the Music Pier this Saturday and Sunday, with both shows starting at 7:30 p.m. The group’s repertoire includes favorite songs from the Drifters, Beach Boys, Beatles, Motown and a medley of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons hits, just to name a sampling.

Mays Landing’s “Night of Lights” Boat Parade Sets Sail Sept. 8

The Mays Landing Yacht Club is hosting the "Night of Lights" boat parade and house decoration event on Saturday evening, Sept. 8. All area boat owners are welcome to participate. It will start at the bulkhead in Mays Landing adjacent to the Inn at Sugar Hill at 7 p.m.

American Legion Salutes Military Vet With Free Vacation in O.C.

Ocean City American Legion Post 524 will welcome another service member to “America’s Favorite Family Resort” on Sunday, Sept. 9, when it hosts Marine Corps Lance Corporal Bobby Raditz, his wife Erika and 1-year old daughter Emma for a week’s vacation, courtesy of the organization’s Rest and Relaxation Program. The Raditz family, residents of Mays Landing, will be honored during a lunchtime welcoming ceremony at Post 524, following a police and fire department motorcade and an escort into town by the Legion Riders.

Ocean City’s Historic Life-Saving Station Enters Next Phase of Restoration

Up to this point, the transformation of Ocean City’s Life-Saving Station into a “living museum” has focused on renovations to the building and stocking it with historic artifacts to recreate its early 20th century heyday. Now, the multi-year restoration project shifts outside the building to give the storm-battered grounds some touch-up work that will improve the aesthetics of the property at Fourth Street and Atlantic Avenue.
