On Friday, Jan. 17 at 12:30 p.m. at the Ocean City Free Public Library, AARP Chapter 1062 will feature local business owner Paula Popilock to discuss CBD (cannabidiol) for pain and anxiety relief.

Popilock is the owner of The Road to Living Well, a business on Asbury Avenue.

Popilock, who is certified in Cannabis Health from the University of Colorado, has done the research and will share her expertise with attendees at the AARP presentation. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Cannabidiol is a popular natural remedy used for many common ailments. Better known as CBD, it is one of over 100 chemical compounds known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis or marijuana plant, according to the health and wellness website healthline.com.

According to Popilock, many people find CBD confusing, especially when figuring out the right way to use it and how to make sure what they’re buying is pure, free of contaminants, organic, and the product of sustainable farming.

As the former owner/operator of a home healthcare agency in New Jersey, Popilock witnessed results in pain and anxiety relief in patients using CBD. She retired from the industry to pursue a career in cannabis health.
