AARP to Host “Livable Communities/Aging in Place” Forum Jan. 21

Krista Fitzsimmons, of the Cape May County Division of Aging, will present information on services that her agency provides to assist senior citizens to stay safely in their homes.

The event will take place 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 at the Ocean City Library, 1735 Simpson Ave., in Room 110. It is hosted by AARP Chapter 1062.

An architect from Christina Amey Architect LLC will discuss changes that seniors can physically make to their homes to make them more accessible and easier to navigate.

Maria Guerra, senior program specialist from the New Jersey AARP, will explain the AARP’s “Livable Communities/Aging in Place” initiative.

These presentations are appropriate not just for seniors, but for caregivers and family members as well.

Participation can be in person or via Zoom. You must register to attend the seminar via Zoom.
