Mayor Jay Gillian, speaking at a dredging meeting on Dec. 10, believes a lobbying firm can help the city with its regulatory requirements.

Dear Friends,

Yesterday morning, I held a town hall meeting about Ocean City’s 2017 dredging program. ACT Engineers made a presentation about an alternative technology that could possibly be used to jump-start our dredging program for mid-island lagoons.

I’d like to thank all who attended the meeting and let everybody know that more information will come as we take into consideration all the feedback we received.

I know not everybody was able to attend the meeting, so I’m providing links here to the presentation made by ACT Engineers and to video of the entire meeting. The meeting included information on the alternative dewatering method for dredged material that could be used on a short-term basis, on planned projects for all parts of Ocean City, and on some of the challenges with alternative disposal methods.
