An accident on the Garden State Parkway bridge over Great Egg Harbor Bay on Friday afternoon snarled traffic heading to Ocean City for Memorial Day Weekend.

The crash involved a truck driving off the bridge between mileposts 27 and 29, and traffic was backed up for miles on the southbound lanes after the 2:30 p.m. accident.
