The following news release is from the Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC):
The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) will hold auditions on Sunday (May 4) for middle school and high school students interested in musical theater. Auditions will be held at Ocean City Music Pier (Boardwalk at Moorlyn Terrace).
Students (from those entering sixth grade to those graduating 12th grade) will have the opportunity to audition for the summer Junior Company productions of The Music Man Jr. and Once On This Island. The OCTC Junior Company is for youth who have a deep passion for musical theater.
High school students will also be considered for OCTC’s award winning Spotlight Performers Show Choir. This select group of singers and dancers will have a busy summer performing in the 2014 Washington, D.C. July 4 Parade, Ocean City Baby Parade, 2014 Miss America Parade, Ocean City’s Night in Venice Parade and many other special community events.

All kids and youth interested in auditioning should prepare 32 bars or about 30 seconds of any musical theater song. A piano player will be provided.  Please bring sheet music or a CD with a background track.
Auditions will kick off at 10 a.m. for students who will be in sixth to eighth grades as of fall 2014. High school students should report for auditions at 11 a.m. for their vocal audition. A dance/movement audition will follow after everyone’s vocal auditions. Plan to spend a good amount of time at the Music Pier for the audition process!
