Former OC Athletic Director Indicted – The School Board Responds

Former Ocean City Athletic Director, Christine Lentz, has been indicted on charges of second degree official misconduct by a Cape May County Grand Jury after authorities say Lentz accessed Ocean City Superintendent Kathleen Taylor’s email without authorization, according to county Prosecutor Robert L. Taylor. Additionally, Lentz, was also indicted on charges of third degree computer criminal activity, and third degree theft by the grand jury.
The Ocean City School Board released a statement this evening following the news of the indictment:
We have been informed about the Cape May County Prosecutors decision today. We understand the concern about this issue and its effect on the Ocean City School District and community. We are continuing to cooperate with authorities and their ongoing investigation. While we are not at liberty to share any details of the incident, we are adamant that it in no way involved or affected the students of the school district. The investigation is being conducted by the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, not the Ocean City School District. We have no further information this time.
