Ocean City Reduces Number of Guarded Beaches Beginning Aug. 20

The beaches continue to be the county's top tourism draw.

With the summer season winding down, Ocean City announced that the following beaches will no longer be protected by lifeguards beginning Monday, Aug.20

Seaview Road

Waverly Boulevard (Surfing beach)

Atlantic Boulevard

13th Street

16th Street (Surfing beach)

17th Street

20th Street

48th Street

60th Street

The following beaches will remain guarded. Beaches are guarded weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Seaspray Road

Surf Road

North Street

Stenton Place

Delancy Place

Park Place

Brighton Place (Guarded until 7 p.m.)

Fifth Street

Seventh Street (Surfing beach)

Eighth Street (Guarded until 7 p.m.)

Ninth Street (Guarded until 7 p.m.)

10th Street

11th Street

12th Street (Guarded until 7 p.m.)

14th Street

15th Street

18th Street

22nd Street
