Take in the stunning ocean views and fresh sea breeze at the Ocean City Boardwalk, spanning 2.5 miles. Every year, hundreds of thousands of visitors travel to Ocean City, NJ from all over the world to visit the Ocean City Boardwalk. For many, it’s a family tradition to visit some of the best-known vendors like Fralinger’s Salt Water Taffy & Fudge to Manco & Manco Pizza to Polish Water Ice, along with other restaurants. To help prevent fire hazards and keep the boardwalk a family-friendly place, smoking is only permitted in marked designated areas.

From water parks to go-carts, arcades, movie theatres, and thrill rides, Ocean City, NJ offers traditional boardwalk fun to please every member of the family. Miniature golf is huge in OCNJ – what better way to enjoy a sunny afternoon or fun evening after the beach than a friendly game of mini golf featuring fantasy island adventures with pirate folklore. Don’t miss out on Ocean City’s amusement parks – Gillian’s Wonderland Pier and Playland’s Castaway Cove.

Shopping

OCNJ offers a wide assortment of unique shops to browse on the boardwalk ranging from beachwear to souvenirs to jewelry to antiques… Don’t miss out on homemade fudge and saltwater taffy, along with other specialty items unique to the beach town.

Exercise

There’s nothing like a brisk jog on the boardwalk with the sun on your shoulders and sea breeze blowing through your hair. The Ocean City Boardwalk spans 2.5 miles and distance is marked every quarter mile for walkers, bikers, and joggers. Keep in mind though, that from May 15th to Labor Day, bike traffic is limited to 5a.m. – 12 p.m. for the safety of everyone.

Special Events

Ocean City is home to many special events throughout the year, from family fun nights to races and triathlons – there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Family nights take place every Thursday in July and August where you can experience free entertainment including music, face painting, demonstrations, and more. Other special events include parades, concerts at The Music Pier, annual auto show, citywide yard sale, and the New Year’s Day Polar Bear Plunge.
