Beach tags for the summer 2015 season are on sale now online and at four locations in Ocean City. NJ. A $5 discount on seasonal tags is good only through Sunday, May 31.
The 2015 seasonal beach tags are available for $20 and are required for beachgoers ages 12 and up. On Monday (June 1, 2015), the price increases to $25.
The 2015 beach tag design honors the historic U.S. Life Saving Services, precursor of the modern U.S. Coast Guard.
The online store for beach tags can be accessed 24 hours a day at store.ocnj.us. Mail order forms are also available online.

Online and mail-order purchases include a $5 shipping fee. To avoid that cost, beach tags can be purchased in person at the following locations:
Aquatic & Fitness Center, 1735 Simpson Avenue
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.,
Saturday and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Roy Gillian Welcome Center, Route 52 Causeway
Monday thru Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sunday 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Henry S. Knight Building, 115 12th Street
Monday-Friday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
City Hall, 861 Asbury Avenue
Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The fees for weekly beach tags ($10) and daily tags ($5) will remain unchanged in 2015. They will not be available for purchase until the season starts.
Beach tag enforcement will be in effect June 6 through Sept. 7 in 2015.
Free beach tags for active-duty military members and veterans available by visiting the ground level of City Hall at Ninth Street and Asbury Avenue.
Veterans Tags
Tags will be issued to veterans only and are not transferable.
One of the following documents will be required to receive a free beach tag:
- 00214 or any other discharge papers
- County Veteran ID Card
- Department of Veterans Affairs ID Card
- Valid driver’s License if you received a veterans tag last
Active Military Tags
Ocean City currently has an ordinance in place that offers free beach tags to active military personnel, their spouse and dependent children over the age of 12.
Special tags will be issued only at City Hall 861 Asbury Avenue.
Tags are not transferable. A government issued Active Military ID will be required to receive the free beach tags.
