Ocean City was well-represented at the recent All Star Saturday “Best of the Class of 2017” basketball event at Ocean City High School’s Dixie Howell Gym.

Two Ocean City boys and a girl were selected to play in the Best of the Cape Atlantic League game. John Horner, an Ocean City Intermediate School player, a 6-2 eighth grader who is undecided on his high school choice, and Gannon Brady, an eighth grader at St. Joseph’s in Somers Point, were both named to the Cape Atlantic Junior boys’ roster.  Gannon is headed to Ocean City High next year.

Paige Panico was selected for the girls’ Cape Atlantic Junior squad. Paige is a 5-5 eighth grader at Ocean City Intermediate School and will be headed to Ocean City High next year to take her talents to the Raiders.

The event showcased the talents of some of the best high school and middle school players on South Jersey. Ocean City’s players showed outstanding abilities and acquitted themselves well against some of the area’s top talent.
