Richard Anthony Campion of Villanova, Pa., passed away peacefully on August 11, alongside his family. His obituary follows.

Remembering Richard Ely

Dr. Richard Arthur Ely of Ocean City, NJ  Passed away on September 21st 2022 with his loving wife and children by his side. Born on March 13, 1932 in Camden, NJ to Florence Elizabeth (Yergey) and Arthur Eugene Ely of Collingswood, NJ.  He graduated from Ocean City High School in 1950 after an undefeated season as the captain of the football team. He went on to Princeton University and University of Pennsylvania Dental School, graduating in 1957. He entered the US Naval Reserves and was stationed at Pearl Harbor from 1957-1959. After returning from Hawaii, Dick opened his first dental practice in Woodbury, NJ where he practiced for two years. As an avid fisherman and boater, he moved his family and practice back to Ocean City in 1960...

Dr. Mary Ellen Terrels 1956 – 2021

Terrels, Dr. Mary Ellen (Juliano), - of Ocean City, passed suddenly, yet peacefully at home on February 15, 2021. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on January 20, 1956. Mary Ellen attended St. Jerome's School, Nazareth Academy, Bryn Mawr School of Nursing, Catholic University and received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her professional career spanned forty years as a family practitioner, staff physician, and educator for AtlantiCare. In addition, Mary Ellen was a physician with Crossroad Treatment Centers assisting patients with addiction. Mary Ellen was predeceased by her father, Dominic Juliano, and by Andrew Terrels. She is survived by her daughter Maggie Terrels and her partner Robert Hamilton; son Andrew Terrels; Mother, Margaret Juliano; brothers Mark, Michael, Brian, Anthony, Patrick Juliano and sister Megan Juliano Dawson. Mary Ellen had boundless love for life, her Catholic faith and the EAGLES. Her greatest joy in life were her children and their accomplishments...

Lee W. Griscom

Lee W. Griscom, 80, passed away at home in Ocean City, NJ on January 16, 2021. Born in Camden on March 4, 1940, Lee was raised in Pitman from age 4 and graduated from Pitman High School in 1958. After high school Lee enlisted in the Merchant Marines and shortly thereafter re-enlisted in the US Army where he was stationed in Baumholder, Germany. He served during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and was honorably discharged in 1963.  After serving in the military he worked for the Owens-Illinois Glass Company and Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company. 

Ronald Grunstra

Ronald B. Grunstra of Ocean City, NJ died peacefully on December 28, 2020 from complications of Covid 19. Ron was born on May 23, 1936 in Clifton, NJ where he attended Clifton High School graduating in 1954. After high school Ron enlisted in the Air Force where he was stationed in Guam. He used the GI Bill after his honorable discharge to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Education from William Paterson University and a Master’s Degree from Seton Hall University. Ron taught English and History at Parsippany High School where he coached baseball and football, and was a coach of a Women’s Softball Team, The Budweiser Belles. He then went on to be assistant principal at Parsippany Hills High School. When Absegami High School in Galloway, NJ needed a principal, Ron immersed himself in running Absegami High School and building a new school. Ron is survived by his wife of 36 years, Midge, 2 stepsons Dean Skeels (Charisse) and Dave Skeels (Sue),as well as 4 grandchildren, Dan, Jack, Rob, and Sarah Skeels and a sister Joan Zeis in Arizona...
