The following is Ocean City Mayor Jay Gillian’s weekly update to citizens posted on Friday, Dec. 19.
Dear Friends,
I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Please take the time to enjoy the holiday with your family and spread joy and good will to your neighbors and friends.
I ask that if you have not done so already, shop locally during the last few days leading up to Christmas. Ocean City businesses are open and the City is decorated to enhance your holiday shopping experience. Remember to visit our local restaurants during the holidays, and if you are visiting family out of town, take with you some of their favorite Ocean City treats.
First Night is also just around the corner and buttons are going fast. Make sure you buy your family’s buttons soon, as we have a great night of entertainment planned.
