Mayor Jay Gillian, new Business Administrator Jim Mallon and Chief Financial Officer Frank Donato III, will discuss the $79.4 million capital plan for 2015 through 2019 at the next meeting of the Ocean City Community Association 9:30 a.m Saturday, Feb. 21 in the Ocean City Free Public Library.
The plan includes increasing spending on bayside dredging from $2 million to $10 million over the next five years. It doubles the pace of a multiyear boardwalk reconstruction project and dedicates $29.3 million to roads and drainage improvements. The use of historically low interest rates to finance the plan will also be explained.
