The Exchange Club of Ocean City has recognized the community work performed by CONTACT Cape-Atlantic with a $1,000 donation to the free “check-in” phone service program that calls the elderly and disabled who are living alone.

This successful program has grown to help community residents have contact with another friendly person. Volunteers help more than 200 adults each day stay in their homes independently.

“These funds will help meet CONTACT’s large communication costs,” said Exchange Club Past President Warren Iradell. “I encourage anyone interested in these wonderful services to visit their website: www.contactcapeatlantic.org.”

The donation fulfills the Exchange Club’s continuing mission of supporting causes involving children, community and country.
