Corvette Show Visits Ocean City Boardwalk on Sunday

More than 350 Corvettes will cruise the Ocean City Boardwalk and be on display from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21.

 

One of the largest Corvette Shows in the East will cruise Ocean City’s Boardwalk on Sunday, Sept. 21. More than 350 Corvettes, including every model ever manufactured, will be exhibited from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the boardwalk between Sixth and 14th streets.

Local Corvette owners and many from Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey will participate. Scattered entries from as far away as Ohio, Indiana and Florida will join in. The show is held rain or shine.

Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Ocean City Municipal Airport on Sunday. The Ocean City Humane Society and Food Cupboard will accept donations at that location.

There will be a special display of Corvettes in front of the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace, where the Boardwalk Corvettes Club, sponsors of the show, will be headquartered. An awards ceremony is set for in front of the Music Pier at 3:30 p.m. Proceeds from registration fees benefit local charities. The two-mile Walk to Defeat ALS on the Ocean City Boardwalk on Saturday (Sept. 20) raises funds to support patient services and research into finding a cure for ALS. Registration is at 9 a.m. at the Sixth Street practice field, just off the boardwalk at Sixth Street. Walk begins at 10 a.m. For information, call (215) 643-5434 or visit www.alsphiladelphia.org.

The seventh annual “Music for the Heart,” a night of song and dance to benefit the American Heart Association, will be held 6 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 20) at the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Tickets are $10. Call Chris, (609) 653-4677.
