O.C. Girls Soccer Victorious Over Delsea
The Ocean City girls soccer team rolled to a 3-0 victory over visiting Delsea on Friday afternoon in the opening round of the South Jersey Coaches Association Tournament.
Scoring for the Red Raiders were senior Summer Reimet with two goals and fellow senior Hope Slimmer with one goal and an assist. Naomi Nnewihe and Coryn McDonnell each had an assist for Ocean City.

Ocean City Boy Scouts to Hold Pancake Breakfast
Members of Ocean City Boy Scout Troop 32 will hold a Fall Pancake Breakfast on Sunday Oct. 31 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Morvay-Miley-Cruise American Legion Post 524, located at 46th Street and West Avenue.
All are welcome to partake of the all-you-can-eat fare, including pancakes, sausage, coffee, tea, orange juice and milk. The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for children.
Spots Available in Play Group for Preschoolers
The Ocean City Recreation Department invites preschoolers to join in the fun of the "Little Rec'ers" program.
The program is open to children ages 3 to 5 and offers arts, crafts, games and other activities.

Cape May County’s Division of Aging to Hold Medicare Seminar Oct....
On Friday, Oct. 29 at 12:30 p.m. Colleen Bingham, Assistant Director/Ship Coordinator with the Cape May County Division of Aging and Disability, will present a virtual presentation on Medicare in the auditorium at the Ocean City library via Zoom. This is open to current beneficiaries and those who will be reaching age 65.

Boardwalk to Host Dog Day, Howl-O-Ween Parade
The dogs will have their day at a new event on the Ocean City Boardwalk on Saturday, Oct. 23.
Leashed dogs will be permitted on the Boardwalk from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 23. Activities will include dog-specific vendors at the Ocean City Music Pier, photo-op stations and the Humane Society’s announcement of Ocean City’s “Pet of the Year.”
School Board Candidates Forum Tuesday
The Ocean City PTA will host a public Q&A forum for the Ocean City School Board candidates on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Ocean City Free Public Library’s Chris Maloney Lecture Hall located at 1735 Simpson Avenue.
The event will be attended by nine of the 11 candidates and will be moderated by radio personality Maryann McElroy.
Ocean City Girls Soccer Team Captures Conference Title
The Ocean City High School girls soccer team, coming off an overtime win against Millville in the first round, defeated visiting Mainland, 2-0, to capture the Cape Atlantic League championship Monday.
Kasey McDonnell and Summer Reimet both scored for the Red Raiders, who avenged their overtime loss to Mainland less than a week ago on the same field.
E. Marie Hayes Recognized as County “Commissioner of the Year”
The New Jersey Association of Counties recognized Cape May County Commissioner E. Marie Hayes as "County Commissioner of the Year" at the annual convention held in Atlantic City on Oct. 12-13.
Hayes, of Ocean City, was presented with the Maurice Fitzgibbons Commissioner of the Year Award.
O.C. Crew “Back Bay Chase Race” Makes Splashy Debut
The inaugural Ocean City High School Crew Back Bay Chase Race was held Saturday morning on the waterways south of the 34th Street Bridge.
The Ocean City Women’s Varsity 1 boat took first in their division. The Ocean City Men’s Varsity 1 boat took second in their division behind St. Augustine Prep.
