21 New Cases of COVID-19 in County

The Cape May County Department of Health confirmed 21 new cases of the coronavirus on Thursday, bringing the total number to 245. No new deaths were reported Thursday. Overall, there have been 17 deaths in the county from COVID-19.

Two More County Residents Die of Coronavirus

The Cape May County Health Department announced two new deaths and three new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday. The latest victims were a 97-year-old man and a 77-year-old man, according to a county press release.

Cape May County Reports Two New Coronavirus Deaths

The Cape May County Department of Health announced Monday two new coronavirus deaths and provided an update on the number of positive and recovered cases reported in the county. In total, 15 Cape May County residents have died of complications from COVID-19. The most recent deaths were a 51-year-old woman from Upper Township and an 83-year-old man from Lower Township. Cape May County previously had not had any coronavirus deaths since April 13.

Bay Avenue Construction Update

The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority is replacing and rehabilitating the force mains that carry wastewater to the treatment plant on the bay at 45th Street. The work is being done on 31st Street from Haven Avenue to Bay Avenue and Bay Avenue from 31st Street to Eighth Street. Details follow for construction work scheduled during the upcoming week.

The Cape May County Department of Health reported Friday that a 75-year-old woman from Lower Township has died from COVID-19 and 10 new cases of the virus have been confirmed. The total number of coronavirus cases in the county has now hit 200, including 13 deaths overall.
