New Jersey Monthly’s readers have spoken and there can be no further doubt: Ocean City has earned the title of Best Beach in New Jersey Monthly's Shore Town Showdown. On its way to victory, Ocean City defeated 39 other beach towns, garnering 31.4 percent of the vote in the final round. The Wildwoods secured second place with 19.3 percent of the vote, and Cape May took third with 16.2 percent.

Extended Hours for OCBP Start on Thursday

The Department of Fire and Rescue Services announces that the Ocean City Beach Patrol will be guarding the following beaches starting Saturday, June 25, and continuing until further notice. Beaches are guarded from 10:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. weekends and holidays and from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on weekdays.

Dads Rule on a Glorious Sunday in Ocean City

It was truly a Father’s Day to remember. Blessed with bright sunshine, low humidity and free amusement rides, local and visiting Dads were very much in evidence in Ocean City yesterday throughout their big day. An informal sampling on the Boardwalk revealed lots of smiles, food and family fun.
