More Like Spring As We Move Into The Weekend

A return to spring time conditions as we move into the weekend as high pressure will move offshore and pump milder air into the region. Friday will feature the most sunshine of the next several days. A warm front will move through, however, it will switch winds to our south. For us, it means a breezy, cool day as winds come onshore from chilly ocean waters. Highs should fall short of 50 degrees.

The good news is that temperatures heading into this weekend will not be as cold as it has been, however this weekend isn't looking that great either. Friday will feature sunny skies with afternoon temperatures climbing into the low 40s with a lighter but still breezy westerly wind. Clouds will increase late in the day ahead of a warm front which will also bring a round of snow/rain showers overnight...

Blustery Cold Winds Continue through Midweek

The winter storm has left but very cold and gusty winds continue for the next couple of days as a trough of low pressure hangs around. Winds will still be busy on Wednesday (West @ 20-25mph with gusts 35mph+) and high temperatures will struggle to reach the freezing mark. Winds chills will remain in the teens all day so bundle up if you are heading out. In addition, a weak disturbance will move through triggering a few snow showers during the afternoon which could result in a dusting of snow on the ground...

A nasty Nor'Easter featuring heavy rain, strong winds, tidal flooding and some beach erosion will pound our area on Tuesday. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for most of New Jersey except for Cape May County where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect. Rain will be heavy at times through the morning hours which will help in adding to street flooding on the islands. Temperatures will remain in the upper 30s through the event so no freezing is expected...

Major Nor’easter To Cause Problems Tuesday

A major Nor'Easter is still set to hit our area late Monday Night into Tuesday. Models are coming together on a powerful storm which will feature heavy rain, some snow, strong winds, tidal flooding and some beach erosion. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for most of New Jersey except for Cape May County where a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for mainly rain with a mix of snow & sleet. A Blizzard Warning is in effect for Ocean & Monmouth Counties as strong wind gusts and heavy snow will create near white-out conditions as your travel north on the Parkway.The highest amounts of snow will occur N&W of Philadelphia. Philadelphia and suburbs of Southern New Jersey could still receive a significant snow accumulations especially in North of the AC Expressway but will depend how much mixing occurs during the event.

Frigid Weekend, Then A Major Winter Storm

A frigid blast has settled into our area once again. Even though it will be mostly sunny through the weekend, bitter cold wind chills will make it feel more like January. Saturday will feature gusty northwest winds and temperatures will struggle to get above freezing. Add strong winds of 20mph with gusts to near 40mph and will make it feel like its in the teens and 20s!
