Brighter and Wamer Days Ahead

Brighter and warmer days ahead as we shake off this gloomy and damp stretch of weather. Sunshine will return Thursday as high pressure builds in. Westerly winds will also help temperatures climb into the mid to upper 70s! A weak front could give us the chance of a shower or t'storm but overall, it will be a decent day. Sunshine mixing with clouds and high temperatures into the 70s once again...

Mainly Dry Memorial Day

The Memorial Day Weekend featured periods of sunshine, clouds and even rain, but overall it was a decent weekend. Now for the finale. Memorial Day will start a bit wet but improving weather the rest of the day...

Sunshine and Rain – A Perfect Holiday Weekend to Make Memories

It's finally here! The start of the summer season! And as usual weather in late May can be quite fickle. Unsettled weather will continue into the Memorial Day weekend. Although it may not be 100% dry, any showers we receive should not dampen any outdoor plans. So expect a decent weekend, but if you were hoping for it to be a sunny, warm and rain free each day, you will be disappointed. Friday will be the warmest day of the holiday weekend as a breezy, dry westerly wind will negate any seabreeze from forming. Highs will climb into the mid 70s...

Unsettled Weather Continues, But Will Memorial Day Weekend Be Dry?

Damp and dreary weather will continue this week as several low pressure systems move through. In addition to the occasional rain, we also will be dealing with some coastal flooding. A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect Wednesday night and again Thursday night (between7-10pm) as we enter a new moon phase along with steady onshore winds. Tides will run around 1 foot above normal which will cause some road closures in the usual areas on the island. The surf will also be increasing. Waves run 2-4 feet on Wednesday and up to 4-6 feet on Thursday as the low pressure system moves offshore.

Occasionally Wet Week Ahead, But There Is Hope For The Holiday...

We are trading dry, breezy and cool for clouds & occasionally wet weather this week. A cold front will move through Monday then stall to our south allowing waves of low pressure to keep us dreary for several days. While it won't rain the entire week, potentially 2"-3" of rain is expected through the period. MONDAY Scattered showers and even a t'storm is expected Monday morning through the afternoon. Rain will be heavy at times with some flooding due to poor drainage. Temperatures will remain in the 60s with a southerly breeze at 10-15 mph...

Much Cooler But Dry Weekend

We are at the end of the summer-like warmth as cooler air will move in for the weekend and beyond. Westerly winds will push temperatures into the 80s for Friday. A cold front will move through late in the day triggering a few scattered showers and storms after 5pm...

Summer-Like 2nd Half Of The Week

A summer-like surge will settle in for the remainder of the week as a large high pressure system anchors itself offshore. Southwest winds will pump warm & humid air into the area through Friday. Temperatures will soar well into the 80s to near 90 across South Jersey however, southwest winds will keep the coast a bit "cooler". Plenty of sunshine expected each day with an afternoon seabreeze which will knock temperatures down a bit along the beaches. Highs will reach the upper 70s on Wednesday and into the 80s Thursday and Friday...

Warmer Days Ahead

After an unseasonably cool and unsettled stretch of weather, warmer temperatures are on the way. High pressure will anchor itself offshore this week pumping warmer and more humid air our way. However, it will be quite windy to start the week as the weekend departing storm continues to spin off of the Canadian Maritimes. On Monday, Northwest winds 20-25mph will gust as high as 35mph during the day. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s with plenty of sunshine...

Saturday Soaker, Better Mother’s Day

A lousy start to the weekend as a coastal storm will bring heavy rain and wind to our area. Saturday in Ocean City is also the annual Martin Z. Mollusk Day where we get to see if the famous hermit crab will predict if summer will arrive early. If he sees his shadow it will be an early summer. Unfortunately, will all the clouds and rain, he will have a hard time seeing a shadow. Rain will be heavy at times through the morning and early afternoon with a rumble of thunder possible. Winds will be quite busy out of the east 20-25mph. Temperatures will remain in the 50s...

Coastal Storm Threatens Weekend Plans

Our stretch of dry, pleasant weather has come to an end. A Coastal Storm is expected to put a damper for the first half of Mother's Day weekend. For anyone making outdoor plans this weekend, Saturday is wetter, Sunday is better! Now through Saturday a good deal of clouds and a steady flow of east winds will keep temperatures in the 50s. Expect some rain Thursday and much more rain on Saturday...
